In Europe, he said most of England had gone, while the Scottish Highlands and some of Ireland remained. Others speculate that much of the key literature emphasizes dramatic embellishment rather than pertinent research. Berlitz's and Moore's account of the story ( The Philadelphia Experiment: Project Invisibility) claimed to include factual information, such as transcripts of an interview with a scientist involved in the experiment, but their work has also been criticized for plagiarizing key story elements from the novel Thin Air which was published a year earlier.

The Life of Al Bielek

So, ultimately, what should we make of the admittedly bizarre claims of Alfred Bielek? Should we, like most people undoubtedly, dismiss them as the ravings of a madman? Or should we consider him to be a person looking to make easy money? If so, though, why would he make such truly outlandish claims in the first place? If he was looking to make money from his claims, why would he not tell a tale more believable? One that would travel much farther. And open up the mainstream platforms. Ones that would surely offer healthy amounts of money for him to appear on their show. So that they might, discreetly of course, poke fun at him for their audience? The same veteran claims to be the man that Allend Filmmakers were brought to the facility to begin work on a project that would culminate with the Moon landing hoax. I think Al Bielek actually did see and experience what he described but that it was ALL in his mind, like a vivid dream or trans – he was just a victim of a government experiment. He was always in a facility during this experiment. The countries of the world had all gone, and instead, most people lived in a series of self-governing city-states.The USS Eldridge was not commissioned until August 27, 1943, and it remained in port in New York City until September 1943. The October experiment allegedly took place while the ship was on its first shakedown cruise in the Bahamas, although proponents of the story claim that the ship's logs might have been falsified or else still be classified. An alternative explanation is that the USS Hammann (DE-131) was actually used rather than the USS Eldridge as the USS Hammann arrived in the shipyard on October 20, 1943. [28]

Whether the further experiments looking to turn purposeful thought into legitimate real objects continued is open to debate. The chair itself, however, had several other uses and experiments to its name. About that time in ’31, some people decided maybe it was about time to do something about it and they got together at the University of Chicago. The three principles involved were Dr. Nikola Tesla, Dr. John Hutchinson Sr. and dean of the University of Chicago, later chancellor, and a Dr. Kirtenauer, who was an Austrian physicist, who came from Austria and was on staff at the University of Chicago. They did a little research….a feasibility study type thing at that time, did not accomplish very much, at that particular moment, in that period. A little bit later, the entire project was moved to the Institute of Advanced Studies at Princeton.”Cheney’s book tells of a little incident the fall of 1942, which perfectly describes the state Tesla was in during this time. Contrast this depiction with Bielek’s insistence that Tesla was hot at work on the second most important research project in the country, the Manhattan Project being only more important. Whatever did happen at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyards in late-October 1943 the rest of the world wasn’t aware of it until twelve years later. Then, in 1955 UFO researcher and author, Morris K. Jessop would release the book ‘The Case for the UFO’. The release was eagerly snapped up and placed Jessop at the forefront of UFO research in its earliest times. Indeed, of the many people that read his recent book, one was a mysterious gentleman who claimed his name to be Carlos Allende (he is otherwise known as Carl Allen). Allende would write several letters to the author. Perhaps the most interesting, and certainly the one that got Jessop’s attention was one that hinted to the already researched and developed Unified Field Theory of Albert Einstein. The historian Mike Dash notes that many authors who publicized the "Philadelphia Experiment" story after that of Jessup appeared to have conducted little or no research of their own. Through the late 1970s, for example, Allende/Allen was often described as mysterious and difficult to locate, but Goerman determined Allende/Allen's identity after only a few telephone calls. [2] :300–301 While there are no official records of the Philadelphia Experiment, research suggests that it took place around 28 th October 1943 at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Most of the crew were on short-term leave in and around Philadelphia with only a skeleton-crew present on the ship itself. There are even rumors within the conspiracy that the experiment was the result of the“papers” of Nikola Tesla, taken by authorities in the immediate aftermath of his death in January 1943 from his New York hotel room. The military personnel in charge were in fact cultists who built a 50-foot (15m) ziggurat or step pyramid out of titanium for some esoteric reason.
