About this deal

Tap into an armoury of weapons the residents of HELL-A have amassed from the insane to the mundane, rifles to shovels, they're all yours to slay with! Dead Island 2 is a thrilling First-Person, Action RPG takes players across a brand-new playground – a hellish vision of LA (or HELL-A, as we like to call it). Dead Island 2 is stylish, vibrant and flooded with zombie infection. Dishonored29 Thanks for pointing that out, I dont normally turn to the pc first, but I guess some of these games would definately be better with those training options!

I don't think i ever heard anyone say "you know that weapon degradation system on that game? It was rad!". Nem @Luminous117 @Titntin @KundaliniRising333 I seriously dislike weapon durablity/degradation, they should just always work imo. I generally like weapon degradation, but it can either be a fun addition or a headache. If the degradation mechanic is similar to what Dying Light has, I'd be pretty happy about it. Each player character has their own voice and their own dialogue," he said. "So you might get one character who's particularly driven or energised or upbeat. You might get another character who's a little bit more of a cynical individual. Some characters are quite low key, subtle. We've written those characters to reflect broad playstyles." Titntin one of the good things about pc is you can use a trainer to not only essentially enable a typical “cheat” options (God mode, infinite ammo, etc) but can also modify or entirely disable game mechanics like weapon degradation, limited inventory space in RPG’s and things like perpetual timers like in racing games and the first dead rising. Trainers work well for souls games too!If you are generous with them, why have it at all? It's a design with no good sides. It's lose/lose and yet developers keep trying to push it. Welcome to HELL-A. The City of Angels has been transformed into a hellish sprawl, its populace now mutated into disgusting zombies with an insatiable appetite for humans. In this extensive, visceral RPG experience you’ll journey to iconic LA locations, taking on quests, meeting eccentric survivors and enjoying a joyously pulpy narrative along the way. I think durability is done well in Fire Emblem, and is a great mechanic there. I've found it annoying in every other game I've played with it.

Dead Island 2 uses the Unreal® Engine. Unreal® is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States of America and elsewhere.

In an interview with PCGamer, creative director James Worrall revealed that while the game doesn’t have a branching narrative, the six player characters offer different perspectives.

Since then, the game has changed hands between a number of studios, and has clearly been subject to a very difficult development process to say the least. Thankfully, it's now mere days away from launch. Then some weapons could break if used too much like wooden objects or thin blades. it should be 2 different degradations In all honesty, it kept me hooked. It's fun, the story is good enough, the maps are big enough to promote exploration but not so large as to make going from A to B a tedious task or even worse, big enough to cause the game performance issues. Now that Dead Island 2 has been given what seems to be a final release date, we're starting to see more and more gameplay. In a recent showcase, a few minutes of new gameplay footage was shown off. Melee combat was highlighted, featuring hammers, blades, and DIY-modded gear. There are guns in the game too, and so far we've seen pistols, shotguns and assault rifles/SMGs.

There are lots of things in rpgs that might be 'real', but are not fun to play, such as the need to eat drink toilet, sleep, etc I would add to list the need to consistently replenish weapons. Its not even real and its not fun. How do you feel about weapon durability mechanics, do you think they add to the immersion or needless busy work? Fall apart in the comments section below. verifyErrors }}{{ message }}{{ /verifyErrors }}{{ assuming the weapon is perfectly fine and then breaks all of a sudden like in BoTW is a bit inaccurate Dead Island 2 will amuse you for days with its stylish vision of a zombified LA, but it’s also limited in scope, and with skill systems that feel shallow and impersonal it won’t hang around long enough to achieve superstardom. This is one of 2014’s best zombie beat-’em-ups – it’s just a pity we’re in 2023.
