This story was part Memoir and part Investigative Analysis on the subject of Stalking which featured Nicole's own distressing experience as well as the Psychoanalysis of it and the subsequent investigation into the processes and the effects on people who have been exposed to it. I was loving the POC representation. The heroine is half white half Singaporean. Subjects of racism, discrimination and everyday struggles of mixed/asian people in America were discussed in this book. We also got to have a peek into the heroine's culture. I had a ball with Jesse Q. Sutanto’s Dial A for Aunties so when I saw Obsession marketed as a “ You for Young Adults” I was all over it. I mean, if you don’t love Joe you just don’t know what you’re missing. But after Logan sees Delilah killing her abusive stepfather, he realizes there’s still more about her to discover. His sweet, perfect Delilah isn’t so perfect after all. she had a sign in cursive that said Good Vibes Only- which, okay, kind of basic, but I supposed no one was perfect-

Twisty, smart, fast pacing thriller that will keep you in your toes! And it seems like we’re gonna see Delilah again in near future for the second installment. Fingers crossed, I hope it will be sooner. There was a plentiful of varied emotions that I felt and I commended Nicole and others for the way they were able to speak about their experiences and their struggles as well as the people campaigning for change to laws. Frat parties are basically a cesspool of horny guys drunk on privilege and booze trying to get girls dead-drunk so they can take advantage of them. I mean, sure, that’s a stereotype, and I’m sure some frat parties are nice and some frat guys respect women or whatever, but this guy is asking a high school girl to come on her own to a place where she’ll be completely surrounded by his friends. I don’t think you should go. Not without a shitload of pepper spray and a couple of Tasers.”

What to say? A slow building is all on Naomi’s part, while Xander knows what he wants since the first moment. But.. but he’s dead wrong! It’s not lust, but it takes him a while to get it, giving time to Naomi to understand her feelings. Heat level: Mild. They have some tension and a few scenes -- but not super descriptive and not very many scenes to where it takes away from the story.

I think this book was a 3 star read for me up until the end with the dog in the hospital. I actually yelled "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" as I listened to that part and decided to deduct another star! I may be a little obsessed with stalkers. I find stories about stalkers fascinating! I cannot get enough.Yes, sir. My daddy hurt Ashley. He tied her up down in that old cellar in the woods by this burned-out cabin place. He hurt her really bad, and he hurt other people, too. There were pictures of them down there. I don't know why he did those things. I don't know why anybody would do what he did." Personally, I struggled with the psychological aspects the book discussed. I've had a personal experience with stalking and don't really care to understand the psychological elements of stalkers. It doesn't give them the right to stalk and torment others, in my personal opinion. That said, I found myself shaking my head in agreement with the experts the author interviewed for the book. I could have leapt up, punched my way through the car roof and clouds and through the atmosphere. I called him out on his bluff and it worked!"
