Umm Sulaym herself was noted for her great courage and bravery. During the Battle of Uhud, she carried a dagger in the folds of her dress. She gave water to and tended the wounded and she made attempts to defend the Prophet when the tide of battle was turning against him. At the Battle of Khandaq, the Prophet saw her carrying a dagger and he asked her what she was doing with it. She said: "It is to fight those who desert." Umm Sulaym's husband was now furious. He shouted at her: "Don't corrupt my son." "I am not corrupting him ," she replied firmly. This was such a sweet, entertaining and original read that was unexpectedly funny too! 'Do all evil people just like towers and one window?', [Rumaysa] said out loud, feeling quite frustrated by now. 'What's the point of being evil if you're not going to be creative about it?'

Umm Sulaym was pleased and delighted with her new husband who placed his unique energies and talents in the service of Islam. He was one of the seventy three men who swore allegiance to the Prophet at the second Pledge of Aqabah. With him, according to one report, was his wife Umm Sulaym. Two other women, the celebrated Nusaybah bint Kab and Asma bint Amr witnessed Aqabah and took the oath of allegiance to the Prophet. So what?" he said to himself. "Was not her husband who died a firm adherent of the old religion and was he not opposed to Muhammad and his mission?" The male counterpart for Rumeysa's record was broken by Guinness World Records' superstar and two-times Hall of Famer Sultan Kösen (Turkey). It was the only book Rumaysa owned where the characters had similar names to her and shared her skin colour."Ever since achieving her first record, Rumeysa has been an advocate for positivity, diversity and research, using her rare medical condition to educate others through her experience. Her height and condition means that Rumeysa uses a wheelchair a lot of the time, although she can use a walker to move safely for short periods. Her playful side comes out whenever she plays with her beloved niece Zeynep, too, and she adores spending time with her family and siblings. Upon birth, she immediately showed the signs of Weaver Syndrome: a rare genetic mutation that would accompany her all her life.

This rare genetic condition, often of hereditary nature, causes accelerated growth and remarkably advanced bone age.Absolutely love the fact that the girls are rescuing themselves and not just waiting around for someone else to come and save the day. A brilliant, positive message to girls everywhere. Content warnings: loss of a loved one; neglectful and abusive guardian; very mild violence and injury Other issues can arise with this condition, like limited mobility of the joints (such as elbows and ankles), instability when walking and occasional difficulties with swallowing or breathing.

Muhammed is a partner in our residential property team. He qualified as a solicitor in 2019. He has a Law Degree and graduated from De Montfort University in 2015. He also completed the Legal Practice Course in 2018. His work involves acting on leasehold matters, freehold, refinances and various residential property matters. This is a collection of three interconnected stories, titled Rumaysa, Cinderayla, and Sleeping Sara. Each reworked a renowned fairytale with a Muslim protagonist, a feminist angle, and a unique dash of magic. Despite aimed at a far younger target audience, I admired and adored the contents. I also appreciated the representation provided. A quote from this anthology accurately describes just why books like this are so important: Due to this limited mobility Rumeysa often uses a wheelchair, and sometimes relies on the aid of a walker. These precautions allow her to walk safely and move as she pleases. Therefore, ever since achieving her first record Rumeysa has taken upon herself to educate people and spread awareness on her condition, becoming an advocate for positivity, diversity and research. Ibrahim is a Partner in our Residential property team. Ibrahim is a solicitor and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. He was also a member of the Chartered institute of legal executives prior to that from 2011. He has a degree in law and graduated from the University of Lancashire in 2002.Umm Sulaym was first married to Malik ibn an-Nadr and her son by this marriage was the famous Anas ibn Malik, one of the great companions of the Prophet. This rare genetic condition is often of hereditary nature and caused by mutations and malfunctioning in the EZH2 gene - which controls many aspects of the correct functionality of other genes, explaining why Weaver Syndrom impacts several areas of the body. The story also focused on women empowerment and showed them their own saviour. I also liked the way the author introduced the prequel of each story which made things more logical. In sleeping, Sara author introduced a plus size girl. That is also a good thing for children to learn that not everyone has to be skinny. It is definitely targeted towards the young audience who won't be as critical as I am. Although there were a few plot holes every fairytale has a few. So I am not gonna discuss them. Living with some severe diagnoses for my lifetime inspired me to raise awareness, help to get treatment options further and empower other individuals who are in similar situations.”

This time, the web designer was found standing at a jaw-dropping 215.16 cm and collected another record - this time, as the world's tallest woman. She speaks online and appeared on TV to educate others through her unique experience, and speaks openly about the good and bad sides of her height. Abu Talhah and Umm Sulaym had an exemplary Muslim family life, devoted to the Prophet and the service of Muslims and Islam. The Prophet used to visit their home. Sometimes when the time of Prayer came, he would pray on a mat provided by Umm Sulaym. Sometimes also he would have a siesta in their house and, as he slept, she would wipe the perspiration from his forehead. Once when the Prophet awoke from his siesta, he asked: "Umm Sulaym, what are you doing?" "I am taking these (drops of perspiration) as a barakah (blessing) which comes from you ," she replied. This book offers fresh takes on three timeless fairy tales, imbued with a Muslim twist. Rumaysa finds herself ensnared in a tower within an enchanted forest, compelled to spin straw into gold after being taken from her parents by a witch. Her sole companion is Zabina, an owl (who was smashing - I would have liked them to stay in the story more). Whilst escaping, she encounters Suleiman, a lost boy on a magic carpet mission to rescue a princess captured by a dragon. Turkey's very own Rumeysa Gelgi, the tallest woman living, needs no introduction: she is a star, an activist, a public speaker and the holder of the staggering number of five Guinness World Records titles. I have taken your advice to heart. I declare that there is no god but Allah and I declare that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." I loved how the central character Rumaysa connects the Rapunzel tale to the other spins on Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty! The inclusion of Muslim protagonists and South Asian culture was seamless and very refreshing. There were some cool plot twists and some actually quite thrilling scenes!. Bonus point if you love reading flying carpet rides. The illustrations were also whimsy and dynamic and one day I'd love to see how it looks in a paper version!
