Smash Mouth "I'm a Believer" (SD, 3 min.) – Another music video this time featuring the guys from Smash Mouth (that guy's beard drives me up the wall). Days of Christmas Pop-Up Book (HD, 2 min.) – Shrek gives everyone a Christmas bedtime story complete with pop-ups. Universal delivers Shrek the Third to the UHD format with a capable 2160p/HDR transfer that offers a few tweaks and benefits but really is notpresentation, too. The new audio is excellent and there are plenty of extras on tap as well, including a handful of Puss in Boots TV episodes.

ROGERS: It’s more consistent. I mean – we can’t change the fact that there’s probably twelve years between the first frame and the last frame render. There’s a lot of sophistication, differences between the style of the first film and even the second and then the third and then the fourth. As you’ll see the texturing becomes more sophisticated and more detailed. It’s just a function of advances in technology so I think it’s more consistent and we try to balance the contrast a little more across the three films. But we didn’t want to go in and reinvent the movies.UHD. No color is left rendered substantially darker. Even just casually watching the film on UHD this is apparent; it's not a case of really only noticing The first and second films have been some of the most coveted movies that haven't yet hit Blu-ray. Right now there's no option to buy them as stand-alone titles. This set is the only place you'll find the first two films on Blu-ray, so they're brand new transfers. 'Shrek Forever After' came out this same week, so it's a new transfer too.
