Why would you say that they are not recommended to listening to “electronic-dance”? Just wondering. When you open the box you see the provided cloth carrying/storage bag. The headphones are secured in a cardboard cutout which holds them in place. It’s a simple presentation but it’s practical and the basic materials used help to keep the cost down. Is Superlux 668B good when paired with a PA2V2 amplifier? Also how is HD 668B compared to HD 681B and Samson R850. Any other headphones in the similar price range I also thought about the 668. they are a little bit more expensive but also have 56ohm impedance, which is a little bit more than 681. Will it have any effect on the integrated sound card on the MB, or maybe on the clip+? Hi Mike, Just starting with the bass how does it fare against the sennheiser hd558. I just want a basis of comparison that I am using with me here I have been searching Google for the past few days and I can’t find a good short cable to get from my mp3 player to the amp. What do you use? Thanks to the large diameter of the earpads, any pressure is spread over a large surface area so they don’t cause any discomfort at all. The only thing that might be an issue is the earpads becoming quite warm, due to the firm pleather covers. I imagine if I were to upgrade to some third-party replacement pads, the HD668B would be every bit as comfortable as my Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro.

I cant really afford EX1000, but its more like ive “poisoned” by it, so kindda looking at cheaper option that at least closer to ex1000 🙂 While not perfect, this sound quality is as close as it gets within the headphones’ price range. The bass might be a bit “thin” but these headphones don’t sound cheap at all. Sound Quality: Superlux HD668B Comfortwise, this is the worst aspect of these headphones objectively. If you are a person who is used to the low clamping force headphones that float on your head, you will have a bad time with this pair. One piece of good news is that after two weeks of use and letting them rest with the headband open in some box or support, the clamping loosens considerably. Thanks for the reply. What amplifier will be suitable to pair with HD 660 or HD 661? I would be driving them primarily with an Ipod Nano, S2. Also if I wish to use CMOYBB with a laptop is it possible? And are both these good for watching movie as well?
