He and Cass have a debate about the logic behind his joke, and later form a 'partnership' after Max-Ernest offers to help Cass get surgical gloves so they can dig the school field without much difficulty. In 2013, the series was followed by Write This Book: A Do-It-Yourself Mystery. While not directly a part of the Secret Series, it directly references several characters and situations from it. the characters was good, I like Max-Ernest constant talking or trying to tell jokes, being helpful, Cass & her stubbornness & Owen & his mystery. the concept (having a Synesthete character & not just explaining it beautifully, but also this characteristic has a major role in the plot. very satisfying, I was looking for seeing it in books for a long time.)
