This week we reviewed the Dali Spektor 1, Dali Spektor 2, Dali Spektor 6 and Dali Spektor Vokal speakers. A quadruple test to evaluate the capacities of the new Dali Spektor range as part of both a hi-fi and a home cinema configuration. The tweeter also stands out, thanks to its ultra-lightweight weaved fabric material which weighs less than half the industry standard. If you were to touch it, you’d barely know it was there, though we wouldn’t recommend it, for fear of damaging its delicate structure.

Tonally, the Spektor 2s have a full-bodied yet balanced presentation. There isn’t much sign of the over-enthusiastic treble we’ve been subjected to in some previous generations of budget Dalis. If you want a pair of bookshelf speakers that do have Bluetooth and other connectivity options included – plus a built-in amp, so that they're ready to play right from the box – then we'd recommend either the Ruark MR1 Mk2 or Q Acoustics M20 HD Wireless, both mentioned above. The Q Acoustics M20 HD Wireless are also plainer looking, like the Dali, though some extra curves that you might appreciate. The Dali Spektor 1 Speakers are a pair of ultra-compact speakers that have been built around a four-and-a-half inch wood fibre woofer and a 21mm soft dome tweeter. These speakers are perfect for all of your listening needs, performing excellently in almost any situation or environment that requires compact but powerful speakers. The Spektor 1s will work wonderfully as a standalone pair of speakers, and will also fit perfectly within your sound system; performing brilliantly when used as either rear or side speakers. The tweeter in Spektor 1 is based on an ultra-light weight weaved fabric. Compared to most soft dome tweeters in the market, the DALI dome material is less than half the weight; 0.056 mg per mm2.
