About this deal

Our aim is to provide the most comprehensive network of webcams for use in helping to show current river levels for operational, flood monitoring and leisure purposes, to see regular and up to date images and information on rivers from the UK and Ireland. We want to make sure that you know everything you need to be aware of the conditions on your favourite river, and continually invest and research in new ways to bring you this information.

That display makes the Go 3 more intuitive to use than the Go 2, especially when framing up vlogs. Even with a few connectivity glitches, we found it responsive to use as a wireless viewfinder, and less clunky than doing the same with a smartphone. We do wish the Action Pod was waterproof like the Go 3 itself, though.

Above the surface, the video display includes direction, depth, and other important information. After marking fish and structure on the fish finder, pro anglers drop an advanced underwater fishing camera to verify the size and species of the fish and investigate how they are associating with the structure. You want to shoot flat footage: Designed for 360, the Max's 2D shooting modes can't compete with single-lens rivals.

For anglers who are just looking to see below the water, simpler underwater fishing cameras offer clear video in an easy-to-use system. While these basic underwater fishing cameras are still a valuable fish finding tool, they are great entertainment watching fish in their environment. Firstly the camera is a more modest 1080p, supported by only 250 lumens of light (at shallower depths this shouldn’t be an issue). Secondly the umbilical is significantly shorter, though the surface end is actually a floating Wi-Fi buoy, so you can throw it in the water and, so long as you’re within Wi-Fi range of it (admittedly not far given the water), you have control, maximizing the use of the 15m (50ft) tether. The best action cameras are compact, tough and easy to operate. Thanks to their rugged build, action cams can be used to shoot footage in the kind of scenarios where most standard cameras simply can’t survive. And because the top options offer outstanding image stabilization, action cams are ideal for recording smooth video while you’re on the move. With the most advanced features in a powerful fish finding tool, Aqua-Vu HD7i Pro Gen2 underwater fishing camera is used by pro anglers for an edge in winning fishing tournaments. The HD7i Pro has the highest resolution video and best lighting, in a versatile camera designed for drifting or slow trolling. The high-definition display produces clear, detailed color images of the fish and structure. The display also provides depth, water temperature and direction information to know precisely where the fish are hiding. Aqua-Vu makes it easy to install the HD7i Pro with a variety of mounts and attachments to attach the display to the boat and a large spool to hold 125 feet of cable. Methodology Players are rewarded the number of fish equal to the "total catch" divided by the number of players in the minigame. The type of fish caught is dependent on the player's Fishing level, as shown in the chart below. Completing the elite Ardougne Diary yields 50% more fish and a full contribution meter also yields an additional 50% more fish. These fish include:

While most of the ROVs in this list have cameras of 1080P or 4K, similar to land drones, they don't have exceptionally high pixel resolution for stills. The best solution for underwater photography is likely still to get one of the best underwater housings for cameras or phones. GoPro's most expensive action camera uses two fisheye lenses to shoot spherical 5.6K video, which you can later crop into standard 2D video using OverCapture software. In our review, we found that the six-microphone setup records excellent audio, if not quite up to the level of GoPro's 'shotgun mic' claims. Finally, that control is all on-screen using the app, so there is no physical controller unit. That means you’ll need to be cautious of getting water on the touch screen but on the plus side the battery is contained in the drone and is the only element you’ll need to charge and the 720p live feed is ideal for piloting with. For most, this will be all the underwater drone needed, and the app is well-featured, even supporting live streaming to social media. This could make a boat trip more fun, or even add educational value to exploring lakeside pools. A bug has been fixed that was making the Fishing Trawler fail to fill with water properly when sinking.

Round trip timing is as follows: 2x15 seconds arriving and departing, 5 minutes trawling, and 30–90 seconds for collecting rewards and banking before relaunching. Photographers are not forgotten though; there is a GoPro camera mount on the front so you can record your trip just by screwing on your underwater camera in its housing; not only is it nice to be saving on a camera you might well already have, but it’s also nice to know you need only upgrade as you choose. The contribution meter determines the reward given at the end of the minigame, increasing as more actions are performed up to the max of 255 points. Having a full contribution bar at the end of the minigame yields 50% more fish, and a greater chance at the heron pet. The contribution bar must be at or above 50 when the game ends for a chance to receive a piece of the Angler's outfit. The contribution bar does not deplete, therefore players are able to stop contributing after 50 points. Such actions may also grant experience in their corresponding skills. Another option is a 360-degree action camera like the Insta-360 X3 with its Invisible Dive Case accessory, reviewed here. Are there any drones which can go underwater AND fly? Fishing: If you’re into fishing, then a drone can help identify a good spot before you cast your line. Some drones also have the option of accessories like sonar detectors which can really boost your catch.

In fact, many of the features –4K camera and dual 2000-lumen lights – are more costly elsewhere and this may be the most wallet-friendly way to add a robot claw with over 5kg (11lbs) gripping force to your underwater expeditions. Action cameras can also be fitted inside vehicles, either to record the road like a substitute dash cam, or to capture what the driver is doing. Several motorsport series fit in-car action cameras to record racing drivers. This is a real traditionalist's underwater explorer robot, which is not only very capable but looks the part too (though is not actually quite as big as it might seem at first glance; viewed from above it’s about the size of a letter).

Currently, there are many underwater fishing cameras with a wide range of features and prices. If you are a hard-core fish junky, or a weekend warrior with a boat load of kids, there is an underwater fishing camera to fit your needs and budget. When choosing the best underwater fishing camera, consider how you will use the camera. How deep is the water? How clear? How often will you use the underwater camera? Where will you install the display? Also, think about transporting and storing the camera. Control is via a generous 300m cable, supplied on a reel, and an iOS or Android app (unless you opt for the Ground Station). There is none of the design elegance of the PowerVision products; this is a device designed not in reference to aerodynamic drones and consumer products, but professional ones. If you’re looking deep underwater solely for the purposes of fishing, then actually seeing into the murky depths might not be the ideal solution; sonar imaging may be more useful. You’ll be pleased to hear you don’t need dolphin-like intelligence to interpret the reflected sounds of nearby fish; instead modern tools will examine the sub-surface environment and highlight targets for you, more than likely with fish icons. The popularity of underwater fishing cameras means there is a system for any type of angler. Tournament anglers looking for the most advanced system can access a high-definition camera with camera light for dark, murky water.

If George Jetson took Elroy and Astro bass fishing, they would definitely have an underwater fishing camera to spy on the fish. Like a scene from The Jetsons, underwater fishing cameras seem like something out of the future. Truth is, underwater fishing cameras have been around for years, but the latest generation of waterproof cameras provide high-definition images and video of fish and structure below the boat in an easy-to-use system. Whether you’re inshore fishing, freshwater fishing, ice fishing, or trolling offshore, there is a camera system designed to capture the action. Once you see what’s beneath the surface, you’ll be hooked on using the best underwater fishing cameras. All the same, the Insta360 One R produces some of the best stills and video you can get from an action camera. Its 1-inch sensor also handles the crop of image stabilization better than most. A flexible 5K camera with solid low-light skills, the Insta360 One R is one of the best action cams around. Attempting to bring any other follower that is following the player or in the inventory yields the message: "You cannot take that follower on the trawler. It might get wet." You want a touchscreen: It's easy to use, but its underwater credentials mean the TG-6 doesn't have a touch display. You need high-res video: Capped at 2.7K, the Go 3 can't compete when it comes to outright resolution.
