About this deal

USB Port: Stay connected and powered up during your rides with the built-in USB port. Now you can conveniently charge your cell phone or other devices while on the go.

DMEGC do seem to have a pretty big, swanky factory, they claim making 80,000 x 18650 cells a day (among many other cell types). If Fiido alone are selling (a claimed) 400,000 e-bikes a year, taking typically 40 cells per bike, that's 16 million cells a year - which is 2/3 of DMEGC's stated lithium cell capacity. That may be why other makers don't get much of a look-in and why people like Mooch haven't come across them? Read and understand all safety warnings. Failure to follow the below warnings could result in death or serious injury. Save all safety warnings and instructions for future reference. Only charge the battery using original TrikExplor chargers. When using chargers that are not supplied by TrikExpor, the risk of fire cannot be excluded. All of these bikes have the C5 setting set to “5” which prevents the motor from exceeding 750watts, they never peak at the Bafang rated “peak“ of 1,500 watts, I am more concerned with range than I am with speed, I rarely throttle only except to assist getting up a hill so I don‘t lose momentum. The Tandem only peaks at 610 watts as it has a smaller 500 watt motor. The tabs on the base of the case and the slider (these hold the battery to the slider) are very thin on the Hailong case (~2.7mm) and poorly supported/designed. Also, due to the Short length of the slider (due to the controller), there are only 6 tabs. hopefully this info is helpful to someone. I was bored this morning, so y’all get to read my long winded post. The slider on the Jumbo Shark has a metal support and it has fixing points along almost it’s entire length, so you shouldn’t have any trouble to fit it to the standard bottle mounts on most bikes. We used to have the smaller Hailong-01 enclosure in 36V 16.5Ah (10s 5p) layouts suitable for 20-25A current setups, and the larger Hailong-03 enclosure in a 52V 16.5Ah (14s 5p) size for higher current and capacity, but we have nowswitched to only Reention Poly-DP casings for a standardized cradle, stronger casing, and more reliable connectors. For extra large capacity (>1 KWhr), we have the Reention DP-9C casings in 36V 26.5Ah and 52V 20Ah formats. We also have downtube enclosures for the larger 21700 cell format and have these available in 36V 14.5Ah, 36V 19.5Ah, 52V 14.5Ahand 72V 9.5Ah options with Panasonics NCR21700Acells (same as used on Telsa 3), and also in a 72V 7.5Ah format using the very high power capable Samsung 40T cells. The EM3ev Jumbo Shark case is designed for 70 cells, including cell holder and BMS. We design and manufacture the CNC cell holder, so it is a snug fit inside the case.

The answer is that, unless you are seriously budget or weight constrained, this would probably be a bad battery investment. It might fit the bill initially for your commuting needs, but then it doesn't really leave any reserve if you need to run some errands on the way home or forget to charge it up one night etc. Even worse, as the battery ages over time, the capacity drops. After a year your 8Ah battery is now only 7Ah, it's only barely able to do your daily commute, and the next year when it is just 6Ah you now need to carry the charger with you and top it up at work every day. EM3ev wins for me. My shop has them build the batteries, they have D-Powercore Bluetooth Battry Management Systems. Super easy full battery review/data on a smart phone. Making supporting their batteries easypeasy. Ambient temperature will affect the discharge capacity, if the ambient temperature is beyond the standard environment (25±5 ℃ ), the discharge capacity will drop! Low temperature use ---- During winter use (particularly below 0°C) we recommend charging and storing the battery at room temperature before inserting the battery in the eBike immediately before riding it. For longer journeys in the cold, it is advisable to use thermal protective covers. When the battery is not in use, keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could make a connection from one terminal to another. A short circuit between the battery terminals may cause burns or a fire. Short circuit damage which occurs in this instance voids any and all warranty claims against TrikExplor.
