Nearly all of us have experienced it in some form or another—whether it’s a trait that defines our behavior, one that shows up from time to time, or is something experienced second-hand through those close to us. Once we build belief in ourselves, we can come together with others believing in the hope that people and circumstances CAN get better—together. Enough repetition will turn positive realistic thoughts into a habit and you won't need to think about it, as it will just come more naturally.

It was incredibly relieving for me to let go of perfection and instead focus on small steps of progress. But focusing on what we do have can help us find happiness even in difficult situations.
