About this deal

As with all flywheel blasters, you need to hold it for a moment before pulling the primary trigger to fire. The Regulator is a Nerf blaster that was released in August of 2017 [1] under the N-Strike Modulus series. Kids can build their blaster for any mission or battle with the fully motorized Nerf Regulator blaster!

The clip release button is located in front of the firing trigger, rather than next to the clip well. This might be just a case of getting used to it, but it was another case of making me not quite like it as much as I wanted to. Note: we were sent a Nerf gun for the purposes of this review, and this post contain affiliate links. There is also a little peephole in the top of the carry handle to allow the included sights to have a line of sight so when you attach these other optics you can look through it.This chamber may seem unnecessary because you’d know you’re out as it stops firing, but there are always cases of malfunctions when you might still have ammo and think you’ve run out. The alignment is a little high though so if you have a normal optic on the blaster your line of sight is going to be blocked. The motor is quite loud, but for outdoor play, you are unlikely to notice it as you are running about; but you won’t be able to creep up on your enemy with it firing, so stealth then shoot!

Like the Hyperfire before it, the Regulator has a high rate-of-fire feeding mechanism (belt) but a low rate-of-fire firing mechanism.

The blaster of the full auto nerf gun is mostly compatible with N-strike magazines; notwithstanding, If you know how to, you shouldn’t have problems loading the gun. This is definitely for the serious Nerf fans out there, but should keen you kids entertained for long enough, particularly if you already have a few other Nerf toys around to help create a mission to remember!

This is a little red light that blinks for about 15 seconds when you pull the trigger when you have run out of ammo. This device has various compartments and different modulus components that make it possible for you to alternate or swap between different configurations. Select fire allows you to swap between auto, burst-fire, and semi-auto…something we have been crying out for! We have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to review a Nerf Modulus RegulatorNerf gun toy on the site; my boy has always been a fan of Nerf guns. The select-fire feature is what I’ve been most excited about as it combines the reasonable use of ammo from semi-auto with the stomping power of full-auto plus a three-round burst to mix things up. It is unique in that it features "SwitchFire Technology" that allows the blaster to be fired between three firing modes: a semi-automatic mode, a fully-automatic mode, and a "burst mode" that fires three darts one after the other.
