Players may move armies into adjacent enemy held territories – remember to leave a garrison of at least one army behind – to initiate combat.

Once dice rolls have been resolved, the player can continue to attack if they so wish and are able to. Choose a territory of their own that contains 2 or more armies (the minimum number has to be 2, as at least 1 army must stay behind to guard the territory the other army moves out of). When players complete objectives, they will be able to claim a reward Card of their choice from the top of the pile.Unfortunately for the Chaos Space Marines, the Aeldari thoroughly outrolled them and both their armies were destroyed, allowing the three attacking armies to claim the Fortwall territory. The first player to lay down a set of three territory cards gets four armies, the next to lay down a set of three gets six, then eight, 10 and soon you’re drawing twenty or more extra armies. They perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing, ensuring that ads are properly displayed for advertisers, and in some cases selecting advertisements that are based on your interests. Generally, it is thought advisable to hold Risk cards until they can be turned in for maximum reinforcements. Many of the official versions of Risk listed above have their own rules which may differ slightly or even significantly from the original game of Risk.

On a player's turn, after they have placed their reinforcements, they may choose to attack territories adjacent to theirs which are occupied by enemy armies. The game is only 5 years (turns) long; the winner is the player with highest score at the end of the last year.
