About this deal

May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Red 6 (CI 15850), Iron Oxides (CI 77499) I’m glad they are sheer and lightly pigmented. That’s why I love cream blush. Cream products tend to look natural and skin like and I’ve been rather disappointed with a lot of modern drugstore cream blushes. I feel trapped with high-end and I just can’t afford it. I know I’m in the minority here but it is nice to have products that work for my skintone. So many cream products are so dark now a days. I think brands got obsessed with making them work with brushes and looking good on mid tone youtubers they sorta forgot we exist. I’m not even the palest person I know but I can not even consider using most of the blushes on the market. Since their baked blushes are so pigmented I think it’s nice these are more my speed. I think if you have intense blushes in another formula that work for darker skintones but not lighter it only makes sense to make a sheer light formula. That shade looks a little dark to me so I’m hopeful the pink is more natural. I’ll be getting one in the fall now that I know they maybe my speed so thank you for the review. I understand other people will be disappointed in these but honestly I really wanna be able to wear blush and most blushes marketed as sheer are too dark for me much less those paler than me. Hopefully shades like wine glow and berry smooch look decent on med-dark skintones so we can all be happy. Sorry for the essay lol While drugstore blushes tend to come as powders or creams, this liquid number stands out not only for its formula, but because it’s just that good, too. “It blends down seamlessly,” says Jaikaran, who counts it among her favorites. The buildable formula can go from sheer to bold in a matter of seconds with additional layers, and even better, it features nutrient-dense ingredients, like pomegranate and watermelon, to nourish skin, too. While the Light Wand is technically billed as highlighter, two shades — Pinkgasm and Peachgasm — offer an incredible (and incredibly luminous) flush. “They were sold out forever for a reason,” says Gray. “They buff out beautifully and are perfect for a radiant, romantic makeup look.” Once blended out, our cheeks had a nice glowy radiance and a natural-looking flush. There are seven colors to choose from to compliment a range of skin tones, though we would love to see the brand expand this to include more undertones. Since the formula is somewhat sheer, you won't get a ton of pigment with a single swipe. However, it's very buildable, so you can achieve the exact level of color you want without accidentally overdoing it.

It also gets bonus points for versatility, since you can use it on both cheeks and lips for a monochromatic look. However, it may inadvertently lift your complexion products, such as foundation and concealer, depending on their formulation. The general rule is to pair like with like, so a liquid blush will blend best over a liquid foundation. But even if you swear by powder or cream foundations, there's not much harm in trying this one out, given its affordability, to see how it works with your overall routine.

BERRY AMORE BAKED BLUSH

Nothing against concealer or mascara, but blush might very well be our desert island makeup must. It’s one product and step in your routine that can take your complexion from looking dull to full of life in seconds. According to New York City-based makeup artist Taylor Fitzgerald, blush can create so many effects on the skin depending on where you place it. "Blush on the apples for a natural flush, above the cheekbone for a lift, or apply it on the nose for a sun-kissed finish," she adds. Water (Aqua/Eau), Isododecane, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Triethylhexanoin, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Mica, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Triethoxysilylethyl Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Citrullus Vulgaris (Watermelon) Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum Fruit Juice Gel blush is always a nice option for natural looks. It’s also typically really easy to apply and blend plus it wears well on drier skin as it doesn’t adhere to drier areas the way a powder would. The same holds true for those with larger, visible pores as the gel won’t accentuate those issues the way a powder would. Gels also tend to wear longer and stronger than a powder. That being said, with the influx of new blushes on the market, it can be overwhelming to figure out which ones are best for you. From matte powders to dewy cream formulas and so much more, the options often feel endless. So, to help you choose a blush (or several) that's right for you, we researched and tested some of the most popular and highly-rated formulas on the market. We've taken shade offering, formula, application, finish, and wear into consideration when evaluating them, and ahead, we're sharing the ones that impressed us the most.

The Light Wand has light-reflecting particles for a luminizing effect (that highlighter in action), and the formula is infused with oils to help it melt into skin. Worth keeping in mind, though: Those light-reflecting particles can have a shimmery look to them, which might not be everyone’s preference. The other downside is that the sponge applicator can be unwieldy. “Be sure to carefully close the liquid blush so that it doesn't explode everywhere,” warns Gray. If you're looking to achieve that fresh-looking, lit-from-within glow, cream blush is a must. Buttery-smooth formulas make it easy to add a natural-looking flush, and unlike their powdery counterparts, they're often hydrating, glow-inducing, and super blendable. Many can even be applied with your fingers, making them ideal for on-the-go glam. Finally, “if you’re looking for more longevity, set it with a translucent powder or a corresponding shade in powder form,” she says, adding that if you accidentally applied too much, don't sweat it — liquid blush is forgiving. “You can always blend it out with a damp sponge or your fingertips." Is liquid blush better than cream blush? Dewy blushes give the glow, but also can make you look oily — so it’s best for dry skin,” Barose says. “Mattes are great if you have texture like large pores and acne, in which case you don’t want glow or shimmer as it brings out the bumpy textures more.” Also good to keep in mind: It can bring out bumps and creases in skin, so if you’re dealing with a breakout, you might want to skip it.

Its thin, liquid-y feel is supremely easy to blend, possibly because of the addition of moisturizing monoï and tamanu oils, both of which can be found throughout the brand's entire line of liquid blush. Yet the pigments are what we love the most — they're rich, luminous, and full-bodied enough that they show up on all skin tones. Maybe we’ll see more gel blushes and liquid blushes pop up as we head into Summer as well. We’ll see if this trend continues! Armani Beauty's Neo Nude collection features water-based products that are intended to melt into skin to add radiance and hydration. That's exactly what its liquid blush does, acting like a watercolor on skin and delivering the ultimate no-makeup makeup look. Meanwhile dewy and radiant finishes — radiance being more about brightness than hydration — are a great bet if you’re looking for a more luminous look, ideal if your skin leans dry or dull. “I love blushes with a bit of radiance to them,” says Gray. “I love glow and combining blush and highlight.”

STAY PUT BROW SCULPTING MECHANICAL PENCIL - SOFT BROWN

If you like your blush to look natural and almost undetectable on the skin, this is the one for you. The formula applies easily and is buildable but not overly pigmented, and because it melts into your complexion seamlessly, it's great for no-makeup makeup days. Try the Milani Make It Dewy Hydrate + Illuminate Setting Spray to get that barely there, effortless dewy finish. Finish with a sheer Cheek Kiss Liquid Blush in your favourite shade, and you’re ready to turn heads with a casual daytime look. Blush isn't always super long-wearing, especially formulas that are really emollient. And if you don't need to your makeup to last all day long, then this doesn't matter. But if you're someone that prefers long-wearing makeup or your buying blush for long days or special events, opting for a formula that doesn't fade throughout the day is key. Some of our favorites that have impressive lasting powder are the Nudestix Nudies Matte Cream Blush and the Haus Labs Color Fuse Talc-Free Powder Blush. The latest drop from Tarte goes big on luminosity without veering into shimmer territory. How? It's a combo of diamond powder and mineral pigments.

That said, certain shades may enhance the cheeks or offer better payoff if you choose them strategically. For instance, for those who are fair, “light pinks and corals look gorgeous on lighter skin tones,” says Jaikaran, who adds they'll have the most natural effect, as though you’re actually blushing for whatever reason. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850) What We Love: You can find it in bestselling shades of NARS other popular blush shades, like Orgasm.
