About this deal

Algaecide is a swimming pool chemical to kill or prevent algae from growing in your pool. Its job is to interrupt important processes inside the algae, stopping photosynthesis or provoking an explosion of the algal cell walls. It is best to use an algaecide in combination with a chlorine sanitizer to keep the pool water clean. Drain hot tub to the minimum mark and re-fill with fresh water to the maximum mark, this will help to dilute the excess chlorine. Never mix different chemicals in concentrated forms. This includes the kit products but also with other products like bleach or weedkillers – a dangerous reaction may occur. Drain pool to minimum mark and re-fill with fresh water to maximum mark, this will help to dilute the excess chemical.

Most algaecides are copper-based, which are chemical compounds with metal as the central atom. Such a chemical disrupts the normal cellular processes inside the algae, thus killing them and preventing them from developing. What are the signs to understand that you need an algaecide? The 5 Inch Chemical Floater slowly releases Clearwater Mini Multifunctional Tablets or Chlorine Tablets, making it the perfect accessory for busy spa users who want a hassle-free way of maintaining clear and healthy spa water. The dispenser has an adjustable dial which controls the release of the 20g tablets, ensuring that the sanitizer level of your spa water is consistently and efficiently maintained. Compatible with all spa models. To accurately determine the correct flow for the scrubber, the tray should be full of water but not so much that it is overflowing over the sides. Overflowing over the sides will increase the sound coming from the scrubber. Never use unlabelled chemicals and please read the instructions before use. Avoid getting chemicals in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Avoid breathing vapours when opening a container. Avoid creation of dust. Never add water to the product. Always add product to large quantities of water. Use separate clean dry utensils for each chemical and clean after use. Do not add the product to any dispensing device containing residuals of other products. In the event of spillage, clean up using clean receptacles and dispose of carefully. Do not add water to spilled materials. Do not use floor sweeping compounds to clean up spills. Sweep and scoop spilled material into clean, dedicated equipment.

Chlorine levels are fluctuating, the pool has been left and gone stagnant or other chemical levels are not correct. pH levels indicate how acidic or basic the pool water is. Low levels are acidic, while high levels are basic. The ideal level range for the pool is from 7.4 to 7.6.Every attempt should be made to avoid mixing spilled material with other chemicals or debris when cleaning up. Do not attempt to reseal any contaminated drums. Do not transport wet or damp material. Clear Water Scrubbers are an external design that needs to be mounted higher than the sump of your tank for the drain to flow into or higher than the full water level of your sump with an in-sump stand. The feed for the scrubber can be done with a stand alone feed pump (we recommend a Sicce SDC 3.0) or manifold plumbed into the included ½” or 3/8” barb fitting. Water will then flow into the tray and down the algae screen that is blasted with a proprietary design of red/blue LED lights. Water will then drain into your sump thru the 1” bottom drain installed in the scrubber. Algaecide can kill algae, but it is best used as a preventative measure. Its main advantage is that it does not change the pH of the water, but at the same time it prevents algae from growing and developing in your pool. What’s more, the algaecide works in tandem with a chlorine sanitizer to keep pH levels balanced.
