About this deal

I washed the non-pillar parts I washed with Strong Tone and gave it a very light drybrush with Tyrant Skull. It makes 3 sections of ruins, 2 of which feature raised floor sections, a corner piece, a broken pillar, and includes a padlocked chest. This kit is on his paint bench to provide you the full breakdown of what you can expect to find inside. Alongside the Daughters of Khaine releases, there are also some terrain options that have been released for Age of Sigmar.

Then to really bring out the wood grain, I drybrushed all the wooden parts across the grain with Zandri Dust. This is gone over with a wash of brown-black mud colour (my own concoction) and then drybrushing with kislev flesh.

Included in the set: 6 large ruined walls; 2 small ruined walls; 2 padlocked grills; 2 padlocked chests. It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control them.

Rob dives further into the detail of the kit and how the slide and lock system works in his full review video below! I find the hexwraith technical paint a very nice product to work with (largely since it does all the work, similar in some ways to the new contrast paints, except it is very livid in colour).I chose a basic dark grey stone colour for my ruins, with some details picked out in brass, rusty metal, and a jade green that matches the pale green tiles of the Warcry game board. For the silver metallics like the chains and cages, I basecoated them with Leadbelcher before washing them with Basilicanum Grey contrast paint to give them a dark and aged appearance. As far as subassemblies went I left as much of the woodwork separate as I could and left the ruins themselves in single stories for ease of painting.
