About this deal

And 8 years of fans wanting me to push for another I've gave in and thought well let's give it another try then. ready to meet GibsonThis special is presented in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen, as the programmewas, and looks perfectly fine bitrate-wise although it still suffers from thecomparitively recent decision to “treat something shot on video to look likefilm” when they should’ve left it as it was. Having run away from their parents in Liverpool, Damon and Debbie, squat on a boat moored on the River Ouse in York. Cover blurb: Brookside: The Teenagers has been recorded specially for this video release like Brookside: The Women.

Well anyways as some of you may remember I ran a Brookside petition for DVD release in 2012 which was a success. Damon and Debbie was a three-part spin-off from the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside first broadcast in November 1987. In ‘Commonwealth Day Chaos’ the entertainment organised by Ralph for the Commonwealth Day celebration turns out to be a male stripper! Brookside became very successful for a number of years and is notable for its tackling of realistic and socially challenging storylines. Packed with hilarious, touching and startling behind-the-scenes tales of the actor’s most memorable moments – from their first auditions to on-screen romances – Brookside: The Men is filled with specially chosen clips featuring many of the series’ top characters from the past fourteen years.

Brookside: The Women offers a unique and fascinating insight into the lives, loves, triumphs and disasters of its female characters and into the feelings of the actresses playing some of the strongest roles. Some fans obviously want more of the 80s episodes, and while I agree Brookside was groundbreaking back then, I think for most people the 90s were actually the soap's heyday. I was a late arrival to Brookside, I first started watching it around the Jordache patio storyline, mainly because I couldn't view channel 4 where I lived so had to rely on s4c. However, the beginning of the breakdown of her marriage to Bobby is also apparent as he becomes increasingly jealous of her course studies and her determination to better herself. Cover blurb: Following the success of Brookside: The Women, Brookside: The Teenagers, Brookside: The Backstage Tour, finally the male residents get their say in Brookside: The Men.

This long awaited DVD release features 16 full episodes of the classic, groundbreaking, Channel 4 soap which ran from 1982-2003 when it was axed after falling viewing figures (mainly due to being pushed around the schedules for Big Brother during 2000-2002). They chat about their times on the show and discuss their favourite memories, their worst moments, what it’s like being a teenage TV star, having two sets of parents, kissing in front of the cameras and much, much more.

His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. There are Sixteen episodes in total, including the now infamous lesbian kiss which was broadcast in 1994.We use cookies to give you the best possible experience on our site, provide personalised content and advertising, analyse our traffic, and ensure you see more of what you love. Brookside was shown on s4c but at a weird time but they changed the timeslot to 10pm which was perfect for me and from the time I started watching I was hooked! Meanwhile, Paul and Annabelle Collins realise all is not well at number 7 and the police swing into action and evacuate the Close. The 1998 gas explosion episodes are excellent and I am pleased they are included, also brilliant is the murder of Imelda Clough from 2002 which won Best Storyline at the Soap Awards, along with an acting award for Ray Quinn, almost Brookside's last hurrah. The DVD was produced by 4DVD with the support of Brookside's production company, Lime Pictures (formerly The Mersey Television Company).

The Close has been blown-up, burnt down and dug-up in it’s 14 years and some of the tricks of the trade, and quite a few secrets, are revealed. Despite all this, Harry Cross is one of the most popular residents on Brookside Close and has been involved in many of the dramas in the history of the series. From the mid-1990s it began raising more controversial subjects under the guidance of new producers such as Mal Young and Paul Marquess.

I don't know what the other reviews are on about complaining about there not being enough episodes, how many do they think can fit on 2 DVD's and the cost would be a lot higher if they did. Brookside: 100 Greatest Moments” trailer (1½ mins): 15 births, 23 marriages, 24 families, 70 deaths, 2932 episodes. These three classic episodes show her dedication as a mother when she comforts Damon as his year long YTS comes to an end. The DVD features audio commentaries from senior producer David Hanson and Jimmy Corkhill actor Dean Sullivan on five episodes, and a small selection of extras.
