About this deal

The Walnut and it's sibling, Creative Aurvana Live, are a fraction of the cost of the Athena as well, with similar and improved sound in my opinion. It incorporates some high end qualities in it's sound such as the Imaging and over all balance of the FR. Oriole is more warm in tonality, smoother in the treble and the upper midrange, and more relaxed in sound too. I emphasize “relatively” because it’s mostly noticeable in the comparison with the neutral reference like HD650. If you're in the market for a new set of headphones, the HarmonicDyne Athena headphones are definitely worth considering.

I decided to cool off and listen for another two weeks, but so far I haven’t found anything to contradict the fact that the company has overachieved. It shares similarities to the legendary HD800's treble tonality, both exhibiting spacious air and energized sparkle up top.In my case, the foam layers inside the box are coming unglued, which doesn’t exactly give the packaging a premium feel but the headphones are well protected.

One of the standout features of the Athena headphones is their detachable cable, which allows you to easily replace the cable if tragedy ever strikes it. e., those light on bass), but for most types of music, I find it somewhat overblown, leaning noticeably towards the boomy side and lacking fine texture. i'm really loving these headphones, the low bass is good and not over powering, these work really well with a balanced cable (didn't even use the standard cable just with tripowin cable), comfortable to wear. Try lowering the mid-bass with a shelf or low-Q filter and cutting back some of the mid-treble should give you with a more ‘orthodox’ sound, if you like. It’s comfortable, has a tuning that’s versatile and should appeal to a vast array of listeners, and can even make an excellent choice for gamers. Between the wide staging, quick decay, and admirable imaging precision, the Athena provides excellent spatial cues for competitive gaming. Every manufacturer seems eager to claim that their tuning faithfully replicates the ‘original sound’, but they might in fact fare better by being honest about their product’s true characteristics, allowing the consumers to choose based on their preferences.

HarmonicDyne tuned the Athena with a mildly V-shaped signature that elevates both bass and treble, yielding an engaging, lively sound. For example, in “ The Room”, the bass and lower end of the guitar can seem to blend together and not come across as clean individual instruments. For some countries, it might take up to 2-3 months, depending on your country, its customs and other factors.

While this may be a technique that has appeared elsewhere, it’s at least my first experience with drivers of this sort. You can adjust them for any head shape and size, and they are generally extremely comfy, plus they swivel in every direction, making comfort a zero issue for any wearer.

First of all, quickly in the box you get the headphone, accessory box that contains cable and a carry bag as well as a coin that shows off the Athena name and serial number of your headphone. The bass is quite fast too, starting and stopping on a dime to make sure that it doesn’t sound bloated or uncontrolled. As per the ISO contour at 80 phon (=equal loudness to 80db spl at 1khz), human ears are less sensitive in both highs and lows roughly by 10 decibels.

At the end of the day, if you’re looking for a super punchy, dynamic sounding headphone that will be great for most music styles, and which has super good resolution, clarity, and a full, warm bass, Athena is a V-Shaped headphone that’s fully recommended in today’s review, and one that I found to be the most comfortable entry-level headphone out there at this moment. Linsoul Audio will not be responsible for parcels that have been damaged during the transit process.
