About this deal

It highlights the importance to get help and the difference it can make when bonding with your baby. Sarah Vaughan brings to this book the same tension building expertise that made her bestseller Anatomy of a Scandal such a success… Vaughan combines a convincing plot with a perceptive handling of difficult issues around modern female friendships and postnatal depression. Up until that point it felt like fictional story with substance but then it veered into messy territory.

I suffered from post-natal depression with the arrival of my second son and although it affected me in ways I never anticipated, I would never change the experience for anything. This book explores the consequences of postpartum depression in a character driven story that alerts the readers to the various ways in which new mothers often find themselves after having a new child in their midst. Sarah Vaughan turns her pin-sharp attentions to the blame game that is early parenthood, raising the stakes to truly fearful levels. This particular author is new to me but it sounds like she has written a number of Regency romances but from a smaller publisher and it looks like she has quite a fan base established and I am super excited to share more about this upcoming series with you guys today! Part courtroom drama, part portrait of a marriage, and part psychological thriller, it follows a female barrister prosecuting a rape case in which the prime minister’s best friend is the defendant.I think it’s always useful to read a book that explores the darker sides of motherhood, and does not rest on so many of the stereotypes of “perfect mothers” common in women’s fiction.

There is little that's more lonely than being at home with a distraught baby and an unraveling mind. My instant international bestseller, Anatomy of a Scandal, heralded a shift in genre: part courtroom drama, part portrait of a marriage, part psychological thriller, it draws on my experience as a political correspondent, court reporter, and student at Oxford to explore power, privilege, and consent.El ritmo, en general lento, con partes que suscitan más interés y otras que se hacen pesadas y aportan poco. Sarah Vaughan’s latest release offers a candid glimpse into motherhood, parenting, child rearing, childhood injury, friendship and blame.
