Until I saw someone else post about it on Instagram and when I posted about it as well, more people told me they had the exact same issue after about 100-150 kilometers.

Much like the versions before it, the Brooks Ghost 13 is a mild-mannered neutral trainer that has scant regard for modern trends. This will concentrate the force of the impact toward the outside area of the forefoot leading to some runners that supinate experiencing foot pain or even stress fractures as a result. The biggest change is that the DNA Loft foam in the Ghost 13 extends from the heel to the forefoot, whereas it only extended to the midfoot in the Ghost 12. i moved on the the brooks ghost 13 ,in no time at all the inner cloth on the heel has degraded and the sponge is showing through .The extension of the DNA Loft cushioning to the forefoot in the Ghost 13 allows for a smoother transition which makes this shoe a great choice for any runner no matter their foot strike pattern. The EVA midsole isn’t super bouncy, yet the cushioning is predictable, reliable, smooth, and most importantly, supportive. I’m normally in-between shoe sizes so I made the decision to go with the bigger size because Ghost uppers are so padded and plush. The Brooks Ghost, known for its plush comfort is a daily neutral trainer for new and experienced runners. Her one flaw was the way she flirted and toyed with boys and men, leaving a long trail of broken hearts.

The upper in the 13 is more breathable and Brooks tweaked the outsole ever so slightly to make it more stable.
