She employs Waite-Smith imagery that has been modernized to fit 21st century reality. While some may regard it as comic book art, the pictures don’t have the monotonous uniformity of comics; each figure is distinctive, with minute elements characterizing their look and emotion.
The Hierophant traditionally wears three layers of clothing to represent the conscious, the subconscious, and the super-conscious mind. The Modern Witch Hierophant wears a dress, a scarf, and a layer of tattoos, a beautiful interpretation of each layer, in my opinion. I lovethe depiction of the Six of Wands, too. This card is all about victory, success, and achievement and depicts a woman on a horse wearing a leopard print coat and ripped jeans. In her ear is a V earring, reflecting the card’s message. I love this touch and how it represents the meaning of the card. The Minor Arcana receives a little less attention, there are no images or descriptions of the card, just the interpretation. It should be noted that there are no reversed meanings given for either the Major or Minor Arcana.
