About this deal

The effectiveness of winter insulation is related to the thickness of growth, which is generally related to the age of the plant. With its unique thixotropic consistency and excellent water repellent properties on a range of building materials, DRYSEAL stands out. This seems very good product and has been tested during a season of extreme weather on my building face. Just been out to check the render, and right where the damp is coming through the wall, I noticed a hairline crack as shown in the pic below.

It’s rained since I’ve applied this and the water just sits on top similar to when you’ve waxed a car. The initial white layer disappears completely and, since the effective ingredient is the same as in conventional liquid water repellents, substrates treated with DRYSEAL remain permeable to water vapour (allow the structure to breathe).Julie went through all the options with me, worked with the agent to get access to the property and got the survey done within a couple of days. The walls have already been rendered but not painted, and I don't mind if the waterproofing means I won't be able to paint over it. As a consequence the potential for damp staining, frost attack and spalling is reduced and the concrete is protected against chloride attack from marine or de-icing salts to substantially increase the service life of the structure. However when these claims for products (like insulation sprayed on the underside of the roof) appear the term "Snake Oil" comes to mind.

Checked to see how effective it is during a wet day and you can see the water beading up and rolling away unlike untreated brickwork.I had a relatively small problem area on my outside wall which I addressed by stripping the wall back to bare brick , cleaning it and renewing the mortar. Once I’d got the area fully prepared I wanted to use a belt and braces attack on the damp by applying a water sealant outside. They are for waterproofing only, possibly enhanced frost resistance (but check the product for this), but certainly don't do a thing to make cold walls any warmer. The proposal is to power wash, repoint where necessary (some will come out with the washing, some is already off, most is perfectly sound) and then to coat the walls with the masonry cream.

Dryseal 3L Water-Repellent with its unique thixotropic consistency and excellent water-repellent properties on a range of building materials, DRYSEAL stands out. Dependent on porosity, the effective siloxane ingredient penetrates the substrate within a short time (30 minutes to several hours) where it reacts to become a polymer silicone resin. Jamie and the team worked hard to keep the mess to a minimum and they even finished the job earlier than expected. The deeply penetrating Masonry Cream is a very effective damp proofer and brick sealer that forms a strong barrier against penetrating damp.As opposed to conventional liquid products, Dryseal can be applied in just one working operation to achieve the desired loadings for maximum effectiveness. DRYSEAL has been formulated to penetrate as deeply as possible into porous masonry substrates and this provides optimal protection against the absorption of water and pollutants as well as frost/salt damage. During this raining season, many people may enjoy this fresh temperature as it help release heat quite well. It certainly is quite expensive however we all know that not dealing with damp correctly could cost well in excess of the cost of this.

A damp wall will be chilled by evaporation ( similar to the wind chill effect ) and will be below ambient temperature. We provide structural damp and waterproofing solutions for your basement, cellar, home or business, from wall to finish.
